In its beginnings
On September 14, 1973, the Electrical Engineering Company SAS ( EMINSA ) was established, product of the merger of Dominican capital with the Chilean multinational company Hernan Briones y Compañía. It is the first company established in the Dominican Republic for the manufacture and repair of electrical distribution transformers. In 1979 the company acquired the machinery and equipment from Canadian General Electric, advised by the Canadian firm Ferranti Packard Transformers, introducing Pad Mounted transformers to the market, once again being the pioneers in the range.
At the end of the 80s EMINSA makes its first exports to the Republic of Haiti, as well as to the islands of Turks & Caicos through an electrical contractor. In 1996, he signed an agreement for technical assistance and raw material supply, especially in the area of electrical substation and generation projects, with the international division of Energy International Corporation in the United States, a firm with more than 100 years of experience.

A new millennium

In 2002 EMINSA , thanks to the spirit of constant innovation and the needs of our clients, began the distribution of Medium Voltage Cells and Transformation Centers.
In 2003, EMINSA received advice from the PUM, DUTCH ADVISORS PROGRAM, who redesigned our business operations, focusing them on the commercialization of services based on the flexibility and innovation of experienced subcontractors.
Likewise, in 2006, it began the distribution of transformers and equipment for the prestigious multinational company ABB, Inc., maintaining a stock of transformers available for its customers.
In addition, EMINSA is the authorized company for evaluation, diagnostic and repair services for equipment manufactured by GENERAL ELECTRIC, CO. in the Dominican Republic.

In 2019, EMINSA signs a distribution contract for the prestigious American company Schneider Electric USA, a global specialist in energy management and automation with operations in more than 100 countries. In the same year, a representation and distribution contract was signed with the Bulgarian company ELPROM TRAFO, which has the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standard.
