Single-Phase Step Voltage Regulators are tap-in Auto-Transformers designed to automatically regulate distribution line voltages to a range of + or – 10% in 32 steps of approximately 5/8%.
Each piece of equipment has a digital control that automatically operates a tap changer mechanism to maintain system voltage within desired limits. The control system is externally programmable to allow precise calibration of control limits and provides sophisticated capabilities for special control requests, communication, and data logging.
The equipment is available in both 50 and 60 Hz, in a voltage range from 2,500 volts (60 Kv BIL) to 19920 volts (150 Kv BIL), current range from 50 to 1665 Amps and in capacities from 50 to 1665 KVA
